Joseph Donovan FRAZIER 11-03-1917 to 11-06-1917 Joseph Donovan was the bigger of the twins, weighing only a little more than 2 pounds, but he only lived 3 days. He just couldn't keep up the struggle like his twin sister, Constance Hope "Connie" did. The Death Record says "ironition" was the cause of his death. A physician contact of mine who has made it his mission to decipher medical terms as they might have been during different times, says that the term the clerk wrote down incorrectly was actually "ianition" which is related to someone not being able to benefit from nourishment ... as in Joseph Donovan was premature and couldn't take in enough nourishment to survive. Aunt Connie, his twin sister, was so small that Dulcie used David Arthur's handkerchiefs for diapers and pinned them to the pillow they had placed in a shoe box so that she wouldn't roll over and smoother.
